(Chatham-Kent) The Chatham-Kent OPP are advising residents of the closure of highway 40 between Greenvalley Line and Cedar Hedge Line. Power lines are down and the highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
Power outages are being reported all across Chatham-Kent, with Hydro One reporting nearly 5000 customers without service, citing equipment failure related to the wind storm. 240 people without power in Thamesville should be restored by 6 p.m., however according to Hydro One some customers may not have their power back up until tomorrow morning.
